Anti-Hallmark Sentiments- Going Down A Good Path With Someone Else

18 01 2011

After you left…

My life remained the same

I walked down the same blocks

I ate at “Our Spot” restaurants

I shopped at our bargain spots

Sometimes I’d turn to my right

To say something to you

And even though you weren’t there

I’d say it anyway

And that really was painful

Because I had a stiff neck

But I had to know

Where you were

And I hope you’re not suffering

And you can walk down

Those same blocks we walked down

And go to “Our Spot” restaurants

And find that cool item in “the shop”

Cause even though

We aren’t walking down the same path

Our path was a fun one

And once you get past some pain

It can be fun again with someone else
